As the largest Russian coal producer, SUEK Group is a company that ranks in 6th place of the world’s coal mining leaders. The Group mines over 110 million tonnes of coal per year and employs around 64 thousand people. SUEK exports coal to Western Europe (Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Scandinavian countries) and Eastern (Romania, Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Baltic States), as well as Asia (Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan). In total, we supply coal to 48 countries.
Our coal comes from the Kuzbass basin, as well as from the regions of Khakassia, Buryatia, and Khabarovsk. In 2004, SUEK AG company was founded.
The types of coal produced by the SUEK Group have been present on the Polish market for over 10 years. As the demand for imported coal has increased in Poland in recent years, SUEK AG established SUEK Polska in 2007.
The aim of the company is to improve the operation of Russian coal supply to the Polish market and, through direct contact with the producer, to reach final customers with an interesting offer. SUEK Polska imports each year about 2-2.5 million tonnes of different types of coal into the country to final customers (professional energy industry, commercial heating industry, production plants) and to companies involved in the subsequent distribution of fuel.
